Snapping Windows to Right/Left Half of Monitor

You are probably aware with Windows 7 you can drag a window to the left or right side of the monitor and it will “snap” in place to take up exactly one half of the screen.  This is an awesome feature that I really enjoy.

Did you also know you could do the same behavior with the WIN+[LEFTARROW] and WIN+[RIGHTARROW]?

If you have multiple monitors this is especially “juicy” since you can use this keystroke combination you can walk your applications across all your monitors, snapping the window to each edge as you go.

enjoy!

  1. That is terrific! I didn't realize snapping had a keyboard shortcut.
