Prior to heading to //BUILD/ this year, I took some videos of NiVek QC with my HTC 8x Windows phone, flying it with one hand and capturing video with the other was a bit challenging but I was able to get a few good snippets.
Flying NiVek is 100% accomplished with a Windows 8 app through a wired XBox 360 controller.
The firmware running NiVek in the videos didn’t have any altitude stabilization algorithms in place. Over last weekend, I added altitude hold as well as a “black-box” recorder that captures telemetry and allows for playback to help do tuning of the algorithms. Hopefully this week will bring the opportunity for more flight testing.
And the result!
